The summer months will be dedicated to the topic, Solutions, a series about creativity as an act of problem-solving. Is making something always a response to a challenge, issue, or problem of some kind? Is problem-solving different for different types of makers? Do we ever create more problems that we solve in our work? And, is this ever a good thing? More about this topic can be read about in an essay by TPR Founder Jess Van Nostrand in Off Paper here.
In addition to events featuring innovative makers of things, TPR will also embark upon a technology + art experiment. The experiment, co-created by artist Susie Lee and TPR Founder Jess Van Nostrand, takes place in multiple installments over the course of the summer and features innovative thinkers in the fields of art and technology.
